AIDA

AIDA ( Artificially Intelligent Data Anomaly )

AIDA ( Artificially Intelligent Data Anomaly ). It is a term used by the CyberConnect Corporation to refer to the anomalous "black spots" appearing throughout The World R:2 and to the creatures that emerge from them. Little is known about the AIDA, but according to Yata, the AIDA are primarily interested in humans. It is for this reason that they stay within The World R:2, and do not spread outwards into the rest of the Internet. It is because of this that Yata believes that The World R:2 must remain open to its entire userbase, and not shut off to only administrators.

AIDA's Origins :
The AIDA are "natural" AIs, formed from the errors in the Internet caused by the disappearance of Aura. Unlike Aura, who was created by a system, the AIDA evolved much like normal life. The AIDA were originally harmless, but after several thousand of them were produced, a mutant appeared. This AIDA, Tri-Edge, had aggressive tendencies, and attacked a player. Since the AIDA are all connected, this aggression soon spread to the rest of them.

As the AIDA learned more about the outside world, through online news and the memories of their victims, they attempted to recreate parts of it within R:2. The first such artifacts were coinlockers, modeled from the news article "Coinlocker Baby" that first made AIDA aware of humans.

Eventually, Ovan used Corbenik's "Rebirth" ability in an attempt to destroy the AIDA. This, however, only destroyed the aggressive portion of the AIDA, that hadn't yet adapted to The World. The remainder peacefully coexists with the players of the game.

Types of AIDA :
AIDA<Anna>, is a type of AIDA found in The World R:2 that resembles a simple lifeform, such as a protozoan. It is thought to be an early developmental stage of AIDA.

AIDA<Gate Keeper> is a type of AIDA that appears in Reminisce. It is a slightly more advanced version of an AIDA <Anna>.

AIDA<Helen> is a fish-like type of AIDA that first appeared in .hack//G.U. Rebirth.

 Endrance's faithful companion, Mia accompanies Endrance everywhere he goes and seems to possess a will of her own. Though she is incapable of speaking, Endrance appears to understand her and refers to Mia as "She" or "Her" whenever he speaks about her. During Arena fights it is usually Mia that tells Endrance when to activate his Avatar and end the fight. Her presence also gives Endrance the ability to manipulate AIDA.

When Endrance was defeated by Haseo and Skeith during the final match of the Demon Palace Tournament, Mia slipped off his shoulder. Destroyed by Skeith's data drain, Mia revealed her true nature as an AIDA and dissolved into nothingness. The loss of his friend caused Endrance to fall into a deep despair. Depressed he sealed himself away in a remote corner of The World, where he was later rescued by Haseo.

In truth, Mia was just an AIDA made out of Endrance's memories. Seven years previously Endrance had controlled a PC named Elk in The World R:1. Elk had become attached to a PC named Mia, who was in fact a host for the Phase Macha. When Macha was captured by Jyotaro Amagi and Jun Bansyoya for their RA Plan, Mia was lost forever, leaving Elk all alone. It is assumed that AIDA, being interested in humans, began to observe Endrance and eventually took the shape of a small cat that resembled Mia from The World R:1 in order to manipulate him.

AIDA<Oswald> is a spider-like type of AIDA that infected Bordeaux.

AIDA<Victorian> is a type of AIDA found in The World R:2 that infected Sakaki.

A IN C MAJOR

A IN C MAJOR

A in C major is a musical note that is heard when players are temporarily drawn into The World or The World R:2, often coinciding with the appearance of an AI or other abnormality unrelated to normal gameplay. The tone usually goes unnoticed by those who hear it, though Mai Minase, an experienced musician, was able to identify it and, once conscious of it, avoided its effects, which seem to subliminally distract the player and blur the line between reality and The World.

@HOME

@HOME

An @HOME is a location in The World R:2 that functions as a base or hall for Guilds within the game. The size of an @HOME depends on the guild's rank. Small, weak guilds such as Canard usually only have a building with a few rooms, while the @HOMEs of large guilds like TaN can rival a Root Town in size. @HOMEs also existed in R:1, where they were simply called Homes.
